After the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, a newspaper wrote about a women running down a Jacmel, Haiti street. She was screaming, "God we know you're the strongest, we know you can kills us, you don't have to show us." That quote, along with the old hymn "By the Babylonian River" speak about suffering and our relationship to God through suffering. I combined the two and put it into a song.
